What is "Hikari no Omusubi"?

What Makes This Rice Ball Special?
This is more than food — it’s a story in every bite.

“Hikari no Omusubi” is a simple salt-only rice ball made with care, spirit, and intention.

It was once eaten by monks, samurai, and travelers for strength, clarity, and peace.
The secret lies in the quality of the rice, the purifying power of salt, and the sincerity of your hands.

Why Rice? Why Salt? Why Now?

The Hidden Power of Simplicity

  • In Japan, rice is more than a staple — it’s a sacred gift from nature.
  • Salt purifies. Rice sustains. Together, they become something spiritual.
  • By making a simple rice ball with your own hands, you awaken something within.

The Five Ways: Deepen Your Journey into Japanese Culture

Message from Master Ishikawa: Cultivating the Future of Japan

What I want to pass on to future generations is simple: the spirit and strength that will shape Japan's future, carried by our children. This truth will never change.

I believe our role as adults is to "protect," "nurture," and "empower" children to become independent. And what's absolutely essential for a child's growth is the "power of Parents"—those closest to them.

That's why I'm dedicated to supporting Parents in "protecting," "raising," and finding their own "independence as Parents." Through Japanese food, Japanese culture, and the art of the rice ball, I aim to help build a bright future for Japan and its children.
